How an international move works from here
Every overseas move we run starts the same way: we look round the property in west London, agree what’s going, and build a written quote around volume, access and route. A full house usually justifies a sole-use container or a dedicated lorry. A flat or a partial move shares space with other consignments on the same route — groupage by sea, part-load by road. It’s the sensible way to move a one- or two-bed from Acton or Chiswick without paying for empty space. We’ll tell you honestly which suits your volume.
Customs, since Brexit
For EU destinations, a genuine relocation of used household goods usually runs on transfer-of-residence relief — no import duty or VAT, against a proper inventory and the right declaration, which we prepare. For non-EU destinations, each country has its own story: the UAE ties clearance to your residency, Australia and New Zealand run strict biosecurity, the USA needs the ISF filed before sailing, Canada wants its B4 list, and India has its Transfer of Residence scheme. We prepare the export documents and work with a clearing agent at the far end. We won’t promise transit dates we can’t control — but we will make sure your goods are declared correctly and don’t get held.

We’re based in west London, and most of our moves collect here — Acton, Chiswick, Ealing and the wider west, south-west and north-west London area. But international jobs travel: we regularly collect in and around London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Bristol and consolidate at Acton before the export leg. What counts as an international removal?
Any move that crosses a border — a flat from Chiswick to Berlin, a house from Ealing to Sydney, an office from Acton to Amsterdam. It brings in customs, an inventory, and a choice of freight (road, sea or air). That’s the part we handle beyond the packing and loading.
Do you move from outside London?
We’re a West-London firm and that’s our base, but international moves collect from all over. We regularly pick up in and around London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Bristol and consolidate at Acton before the export leg.
Which is cheaper — a full container or a shared one?

How long will my international move take?
It depends on the route, the freight method, the sailing schedule and customs — which is why we won’t quote a day count we can’t control. Your written quote sets out the process and what affects the timing, and we keep you posted as the move progresses.
Can you store my belongings during an international move?
Yes — secure storage at our West-London base covers the gap when your overseas home isn’t ready, or when you’re shipping in stages. It’s the same team throughout, so there’s no handover.
